Abarth celebrates the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Team title

  • It is the second championship title won by the team sponsored by Abarth.
  • Competitiveness and enthusiasm are the shared values that bind the two brands.

By taking the last race of the season in Valencia, Spain, the Movistar Yamaha Moto GP Team won the FIM MotoGP Team championship title for the second year running.

This is a great result for Abarth, sponsor and earnest partner of the team. Many are the shared values, like enthusiasm and push to success, that stretch beyond motorsports. The common vision shared by the team members of both brands drove the Movistar Yamaha Moto GP team to lead the championship ranking.

The two team riders stepped on the podium 19 times during the season (Valentino Rossi ten times and Jorge Lorenzo nine), also scoring two spectacular one-two wins in the GPs in Spain (Jerez) and France (Le Mans).
For Abarth and Yamaha races are the grounds on which to put experiences to be transferred to standard productions to the test. Like Abarth 124 spider, developed with the Abarth Racing Team. The car perfectly embodies the leading values of the brand: performance, craftsmanship and technical excellence.

Available in saloon or convertible versions, the new 595 Abarth range comes in three trim levels (595, 595 Turismo and 595 Competizione) with as many engine powers and tuning levels, designed to satisfy today's increasingly discerning and competent customers. Many of the upgrades introduced are the result of experience gained with the development of the 695 Biposto, the "smallest supercar", a street-legal model which offers the excitement and technology of a real racing car.
